The MMASc is designed to enhance your undergraduate education in the social sciences by layering this with a graduate management degree. In today’s competitive job enviromnent this will better position you for career sucess! Our 12 month program allows you to go deeper with your social science discipline, as well as develop core management skills through academic studies and collaboration with students and industry partners.

By the end of the program you will be able to:

  • Interpret a broad range of data from the social sciences and then be able to effectively apply modern management techniques and theories to the information, creating relevant, actionable and effective strategies for industry.
  • Plan projects including establishing feasibility, scheduling tasks and managing the steps needed to bring a project to successful completion.
  • Independently carry out applied research to solve problems by leveraging your social science training couple with compelling managerial judgement.

 

What we look for

The MMASc Social Science Spoke is based on a keen passion for the student’s undergraduate education but with a passion to pivot to a managerial role in your career. The spoke is highly collaborative and requires students to interact with the material, each other and with our industry partners. Admission into this stream is competitive and is offered to students with a proven track-record of academic, personal and professional achievements and an interest in a management career that leverages their undergraduate discipline.

Students graduating from the program are expected to be able to:

  • Communicate professionally both orally and in writing for a variety of audiences internal and external to an organization

  • Apply professional skills in finance and accounting, marketing and project management
